The TMA is the UK’s major business association representing the interests of and providing professional support for the performing arts in the UK.
TMA members include theatres, multi-purpose venues, arts centres, concert halls, commercial producers, touring theatre, opera and ballet companies, sole traders and suppliers to the performing arts.
We provide members with a comprehensive portfolio of services including access to our legal affairs and employment relations advice specific to the sector and a programme of training and development to support best practice within all areas of performing arts management. We advocate on behalf of our members to champion the value of investment in the performing arts and represent the interests of our members to government bodies and authorities at national, local and international level.
Throughout the year the TMA promotes an extensive programme of conferences, training and networking events for those working in the performing arts industry.
Each year the TMA holds Theatre Awards UK, the premier award ceremony celebrating theatre throughout the UK.
