Philip Bernays - Chief Executive, Theatre Royal Newcastle
After five years as a Stage and Company Manager, he became General Manager of Actors Touring Company and then Administrator of the Independent Theatre Council. This was followed by 18 months as a Drama Officer for Arts Council England and then three years as Executive Director of the Young Vic.
In 1995 he was appointed as Chief Executive of the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham where he stayed until 2005, when he became Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal, Newcastle. He is also Chairman of Audiences North East.
