General Manager – Community & Education

The General Manager will work alongside the Associate Director to provide effective strategic management and day to day financial and operational management of the C&E Department to enable it to fulfil its vision.  Key to this will be the ability to manage and account for the C&E company budgets (current turnover £350k), and to liaise with the Theatre’s Accounts department to ensure that budgets are properly recorded and sufficient audit trail established.  There is also a requirement for this post to raise income from new sources each year to support the work of the company: 

For the right candidate, this post could also embrace general management for the Theatre itself, specifically with regards to HR processes, and deputising for the Executive Director on appropriate projects.  Alternatively the right candidate could be given the opportunity to develop so that s/he can take on this element of the post.
