Chichester Festival Theatre seeks a skilled workshop leader and practitioner to deliver Community & Education projects for a thriving Learning & Participation Department.
 
The practitioner will ideally have a flair for creating stimulating sessions and skill in reaching different age groups and people with complex needs. The practitioner will need to be at ease working across different contexts and have a facility for discerning and delivering the key elements which make projects successful.
 
A general enthusiasm and curiosity about how theatre/drama can stimulate people is essential. Knowledge of community practice and/or drama/arts/English/dance/music teaching in schools is a distinct advantage.
 
Being a self-starter, with strong initiative and good organisational skills will be key to succeeding in this role.

Theatre Royal Stratford East is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable intern. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in an ambitious new project called Open Stage.

Open Stage will see Theatre Royal Stratford East asking the people of East London and beyond to help shape the theatre’s future, by telling us what they want to appear on stage from January to July 2012.

Application Details

Applicants should be 18+, interested in working in the arts and ideally be available for a minimum of 2 months, 3 to 5 days per week. Working hours and duration of the internship can be flexible for the right candidate. The internship is unpaid, but lunch and travel expenses are covered.

The internship will include general office duties, helping to co-ordinate Open Stage activities and events and working with volunteers. Good communication skills are essential, and office experience and/or experience in working in a community setting would be helpful. Candidates will be interviewed before any internship is offered.

Editorial Intern - Six Week Contract

The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is running an ongoing intern scheme within its busy publishing team to work on www.theatrefix.co.uk

We are looking for keen writers/editors with a passion for theatre and bags of enthusiasm and ideas. You will need to commit to working in our Covent Garden offices for at least two days per week for a period of six weeks.

About the post:
You will manage www.theatrefix.co.uk, the new website aimed at 16-26 year olds, by generating creative ideas to improve the site and implementing them to increase visitor numbers and newsletter subscribers.

The post is not salaried but we will offer you one complimentary theatre ticket to a West End show per week of the six-week contract, as well as training and experience, plus a job reference for future employees.

This is an ongoing role so there is no closing date. If you are not available immediately, please apply stating when you will be available.
