Tim Brinkman was born in Manchester, England and was awarded a BA (Hons) in Drama at Leeds University before establishing touring company Pilot Theatre Company. After four years in touring theatre he joined the Drama Department of the Arts Council of Great Britain. Following that he oversaw the rebuilding and re-launch of a 450 seat Victorian theatre the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke.
Prior to his current role he spent five years as the Director of South Hill Park Arts Centre one of the UKs major arts venues. Tim moved in October 2000 to lead Hall for Cornwall a new 1,000 seat theatre presenting and developing a range of mid/large scale drama, dance and music for the population of Cornwall.
