To become a member of the TMA you need to complete an application form and have your application proposed and seconded by the official representative of an organisation which is a full member of TMA. If you have any difficulties in finding an appropriate proposer or seconder, please contact Gemma Nelson on 020 7557 6706 or at gemman@solttma.co.uk, who will be happy to assist in finding appropriate sponsors.
Once the Council of Management have approved you for membership, your application will be circulated to all TMA members. If no objections are received within 21 days and the subscription fee is paid, you will be admitted to membership.
It is expected that members of the TMA will:
- Subscribe to the TMA's statement of Aims and Purpose.
- Maintain the minimum terms and conditions of those agreements currently in place with trade unions representing those working in professional theatre.
- Use, where appropriate, the contracts of employment currently in place with these trade unions unless a separate house agreement has been negotiated.
