Since 2002, John has been Chief Executive of Festival City Theatres in Edinburgh. He has previously been Executive Producer and Chief Executive of Birmingham Rep (1992-2002); Administrative Director of Liverpool Playhouse (1989-1992) and Administrative Director of Dukes Playhouse (1984-1989). He has been the Chair of Dance Consortium since 2001 and is a Member of Creative and Cultural Skills Performing Arts Advisory Panel / Scottish Employers Group and former Chair of ACE Touring Advisory Panel.
